Marianne Friedman, Founder
My educational and professional discipline is in the Interior Design industry as well as Communications. What brought me to create Exstilla began in my travels.
I found that different environments reacted with my skin differently. I wanted to create a product that worked with my skin in any environment, instead of carrying 8 different skincare products to deal with the different environments. Heat, smog, humidity, or the cold.
The quest began in early 2004. I sought to find professional-grade skincare for home use, that would also maintain the balance of my own natural oils, and lock-in moisture while aiding in cell regeneration (for all of us who are 40 and 50 something trying to find the fountain of youth that doesn't exist.) I began with a number of excellent products from France, Germany, and Switzerland. The frustration came when inquiring to carry these products in the states, with prohibitive sales policies, high prices, coupled with large minimum orders with the additional cost to clear US customs.
With the encouragement of my husband Alan, and Exstilla Co-Founder, I began the search for US cosmetic research, development, and manufacturing facilities that work to FDA standards and who would assist me in creating the use of natural plant and marine extracts to create a professional-grade, super moisturizing, anti-aging skincare line for all skin types. WITH NO ANIMAL TESTING. With our vision and the super lab Estheticians that we have had the great pleasure of working with, we have brought Exstilla to life!
Tracey Graves, Accounting
Tracey has 30 plus years of experience in accounting and account management. She has been running the financials of multiple companies for 27 plus years. She has kept my design business financials running like clockwork for 14 years. She is a wonderful asset to Exstilla for keeping the beginning financials EXTREMELY organized. We would not be able to survive without her!
Alan Friedman, Co-Founder
Alan has over 30 years of experience in multi-company management. He is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Owner/President Management (OPM) program and has been a valuable asset for Exstilla’s product development and distribution. When you see Alan, he is sure to be carrying Exstilla products with him!
Staff Morale Ambassadors
These two accompany us to the office. They keep all of us working people happy in the workplace. These cuties, love to greet customers, nap on the desks, and help clean up the floors in the kitchen. Simon is an office lap lover. Mason is the Class Clown.
