We have compiled a list of the most common photo-sensitive drugs. The following increase sensitivity to UV radiation. Reactions include overly reddened skin, hives, swelling, and itch skin.

Acne Medications:

Acitretin ( Soriatane), isotretinoin (Accutane)

Antibiotics:

Ciproflaxacin (Cipro, Proquin)

Doxycycline (Oracea, Vibramycin), sulfamethoxazole (gantanol), sufamethoxazole and trimethoprim (bactrim, septra), tetracycline (achromycin)

Antihistamines:

Diphenhydramine (Benadryl)

CHEMOTHERAPY DRUGS:

5-f;iprpiraco; (Carac. Efudex. Fluroples). Dacarbazome (DTIC-Dome)

Diabetes Medications:

Chlorpropamide (diabinese) Glyburide (DiaBeta, Glynase, Micronase)

Diuretics:

Furosemide (lasix), Hydrochlorothiazide (HydroDiruil)

HEART MEDICATIONS:

Amiodarone (Cordarone), Diltiazem (Cardizem, Dilacor, Tiazac),

Nifedipine (Procardia)

Pain Medication:

Naproxen (aleve, Naprosyn), Piroxicam (Feldene)

Psychiatric Drugs:

Chlorpromazine (Thorazine),Disipramine (Norpramin), Imipramine (Tafanil)
